Job summary

Select Medical's outpatient physical therapy center in Houtzdale is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk operations and patient flow.

You will greet and register patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and coordinate with insurers. Full-time, Monday–Friday with some evenings; pay $14.00–$15.50 per hour, based on experience; benefits include PTO and health plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Insurance verification experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and the business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
