Job summary

Select Medical in Hendersonville, TN is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support front desk operations at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, schedule visits, and coordinate with insurance and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth visit.

The role offers weekday full-time hours with starting pay at $17 per hour (experience dependent), plus mentorship, PTO, and comprehensive benefits. Previous front desk or medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of front desk experience required.
• Preferred: 1 year medical office experience.
• Preferred: experience with insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with entities such as attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, and the business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
