Job summary

The Orthopaedic Institute is seeking an Intake Receptionist to warmly welcome patients and visitors at the front desk and on the phone. You will manage patient intake, collect information for appointments, and check patients in with attention to delays in physician schedules.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, the ability to multitask in a busy environment, and comfortable use of practice management software. High school diploma required; experience preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills required; able to greet and assist patients professionally.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced medical front-desk setting.
• Ability to multitask across calls, check-ins, and documentation.
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Familiarity with practice management software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and directs them to destinations; keeps reception area presentable.
• Assesses patient needs and provides prompt, appropriate resources.
• Handles patient intake screening and documents required information.
• Checks patients in for appointments and communicates delays.
• Answers, screens and forwards phone calls; takes messages.
