Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in patient admitting/registration or insurance eligibility verification preferred.
• EPIC training/experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance payor systems and ICD-10 terminology preferred.
• Strong computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service by phone, in person, and in writing.
• Willingness to train others and handle multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and set a welcoming tone at the front desk.
• Register new patients and update existing patient and insurance info.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain coverage and costs.
• Address patient questions with empathy and problem-solving.
• Collect payments and manage cash with accuracy.
