Job summary

The City of McHenry is seeking a part-time Guest Services Attendant for the McHenry Recreation Center under the direction of the Director of Parks & Recreation. You will greet guests, provide first-class customer service, sell memberships, register participants for activities, and assist with facility rentals and front desk tasks.

As part of the role, you may perform light cleaning, cash handling, and use registration software.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Strong people and customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public.
• Good math skills and solid computer/keyboard skills.
• Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification or willingness to complete within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly customer service.
• Check in members, register participants, sell memberships, and process payments.
• Assist with facility rentals, programs, events, and front desk duties.
• Answer phones, respond to questions, and promote programs and services.
• Perform light facility cleaning and maintain front desk organization.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings and perform related duties as needed.
