Job summary

Bgparks is seeking a part-time Guest Services Representative at the Community Arts Center to greet guests, answer phones, and assist with registrations and data entry into SmartRec and Arts People.

The role requires two years of customer service experience and a high school diploma. It offers an 17.50 per hour wage structure with benefits and a part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff as needed.
• Provide Park District information and assist with inquiries both over the phone and at the front desk.
• Enter registration and participant information into systems, maintain Google Docs records, and update program data in SmartRec.
• Collaborate with recreation staff to prepare program mailings and assist with projects related to programming.
• Sort, date, and distribute incoming mail.
• Process registrations in SmartRec and handle ticket sales through Arts People.
• Maintain and organize filing systems, ensuring all files remain accurate and up to date.
• Assist staff with the operation of office equipment, including copiers, duplicators, postage machines, and other office machines as needed.
• Attend scheduled safety programs and seminars; promptly report accidents or hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
• Assist with the coordination and execution of special events and programs as requested.
• Makes recommendations and works to ensure that the Park District is in compliance with all ADA guidelines for registration, programs and facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Guest Services Representative is responsible for greeting and assisting guests at the Community Arts Center, answering incoming phone calls, and inputting of registration and participant and program data into SmartRec. The part-time staff reports to the Superintendent of Recreation.

Hours / Schedule

Tuesday through Thursday from 3 - 8 pm and Saturdays from 9 am - 1 pm. Additional hours on performance nights assisting with box office sales.

Essential Functions

Hourly Wage
