Job summary

YMCA in Cambridge, MD is seeking a Member Services Associate to deliver excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, while promoting memberships and programs.

Responsibilities include conducting tours for prospective members, signing them up for memberships and events, building relationships, resolving concerns, and ensuring lobby areas are clean and organized in line with YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Delivers excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in person and on the phone.
• Promotes memberships and programs; maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby area.
• Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
