Job summary

General Vascular Surgery Medical Group, Inc. in San Leandro, CA is seeking a full-time Front Desk Medical Receptionist for our outpatient vascular surgery practice.

You will handle patient check-in/check-out, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and support daily clinic operations. This on-site role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends, and benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid vacation & sick leave, flexible spending account, and uniform allowance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of medical front desk experience in a clinic setting.
• Experience with medical insurance verification and procedure authorizations.
• Medical appointment scheduling experience.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred (Athena strongly preferred).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Job description

Vascular Surgery Group is seeking an experienced Full-Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to support our vascular surgery outpatient practice. This role is responsible for patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and supporting the daily flow of clinic operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of medical front desk experience in a clinic setting (required)
• Experience with medical insurance verification and procedure authorizations (required)
• Medical appointment scheduling experience (required)
• EMR/EHR experience preferred (Athena strongly preferred)
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Valid Driver’s License (required)

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Rare overtime as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods throughout the workday
• Ability to walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs (files, supplies, office materials)
• Frequent use of computer, keyboard, telephone, and standard office equipment
• Ability to assist patients at the front desk and move between patient areas, front desk, and administrative areas as needed
