Job summary

Vascular Surgery Group in San Leandro, CA seeks an experienced Full-Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to support our outpatient practice with patient check-in/out, scheduling, and insurance verification. You will help manage clinic flow, greet patients, and coordinate with the care team.

The role requires 1+ year medical front desk experience, Athena EMR preferred, bilingual English/Spanish optional, and a valid driver’s license. On-site, 40 hours weekly, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical insurance verification and procedure authorizations.
• Medical appointment scheduling experience.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred (Athena strongly preferred).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Job description

Vascular Surgery Group is seeking an experienced Full-Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to support our vascular surgery outpatient practice. This role is responsible for patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and supporting the daily flow of clinic operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of medical front desk experience in a clinic setting (required)
• Experience with medical insurance verification and procedure authorizations (required)
• Medical appointment scheduling experience (required)
• EMR/EHR experience preferred (Athena strongly preferred)
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Valid Driver’s License (required)

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Rare overtime as needed
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods throughout the workday
• Ability to walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs (files, supplies, office materials)
• Frequent use of computer, keyboard, telephone, and standard office equipment
• Ability to assist patients at the front desk and move between patient areas, front desk, and administrative areas as needed
