Caremed Primary and Urgent Care PC in Selden, NY seeks a Full-Time Receptionist/Medical Assistant to support front desk and exam room duties in a busy practice. You will greet patients, schedule, collect copays, verify insurance, and assist with basic clinical tasks when needed.

A fast-paced environment and strong people skills are essential. The role may require covering weekend hours on an every-other-Saturday rotation, contributing to patient flow and care continuity in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certified Medical Assistant with phlebotomy and EKG credentials.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at front desk and in clinic areas.
• Answer phones promptly and relay messages to clinicians.
• Schedule patients per practice guidelines and collect copays.
• Verify insurance coverage and generate referrals as needed.
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness and assist with training new staff.
• Document patient histories and vitals, enter data into the EHR.
