Caremed Primary and Urgent Care PC is seeking a Full-Time Receptionist/Medical Assistant to support a busy Coram, NY primary care practice. The role blends front-desk duties with hands-on clinical support, requiring strong communication, multitasking, and a patient-first approach.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and helps serve a diverse patient base. You'll greet patients, answer calls, schedule, verify insurance, collect copays, and assist the medical team while covering MA tasks when

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical billing practices.
• Knowledge of vital signs, phlebotomy, and basic clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting patients.
• Answering phones in a timely manner.
• Scheduling and checking in patients, collecting copays/coinsurance.
• Verify insurance coverage and prepare referrals.
• Document patient information and vitals in the EHR.
• Train new staff on policies and procedures.
