Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a part-time Guest Support Services representative to operate the hospital’s information desk, call center, and paging systems. You will provide patient, visitor and staff information, issue visitor passes, and assist with escorting visitors in the Emergency Room and Mother Baby Unit.

The role requires interaction with public and hospital staff, familiarity with EPIC and paging directories, and a commitment to patient confidentiality and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to exchange information clearly and politely.
• Experience with hospital information systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones and greet patients and visitors professionally.
• Transfer calls and assist with outgoing calls.
• Provide patient and visitor information and room details.
• Issue visitor passes and escort visitors as needed.
• Support ED and rapid-response communications using paging systems.
• Maintain confidentiality per hospital policies.
