Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites is seeking a Front Desk Associate to serve as the first point of contact for guests and manage front desk operations, reservations, payments, and guest requests with courteous, professional service.

This full-time role (35+ hours) requires handling check-in/out, guest accounts, and coordinating with housekeeping and security while maintaining a safe, welcoming lobby and accurate records.

Qualifications

• One year of general office clerical experience.
• One year progressively responsible experience related to the position.
• Ability to operate a multi-line phone system.
• Knowledge of front desk procedures, check-in/check-out, and guest payments.

Responsibilities

• Assists guests with reservations, check-in/check-out, payments, and room assignments.
• Greets and welcomes guests, maintaining outstanding guest relations.
• Communicates with lodging staff about operations and guest issues.
• Verifies registration information and secures incidental expenses.
• Maintains front desk records, keeps lobby clean and safe.
• Utilizes the Property Management System and processes reservations.
• Generates and reviews reports and ensures accurate charges.
