Decatur Forsyth Residence Inn by Marriott in Forsyth, IL is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent to greet guests, check in/out, answer phones, and maintain a welcoming lobby. You’ll handle reservations, relay messages, and ensure accurate cash handling while delivering excellent service.

The role offers competitive hourly pay ($15.00–$17.00), a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and benefits for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred; hospitality experience is a plus.
• A friendly, positive attitude and genuine desire to help others.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain professional and calm when handling guest concerns.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Check guests in and out and assign rooms.
• Answer phones, route calls, and accurately take guest messages.
• Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Handle guest information and records with confidentiality and integrity.
• Maintain accurate cash and transaction records.
• Complete required front desk paperwork, logs, and reports.
• Perform property walks and help maintain a clean, welcoming lobby and common areas.
• Assist with breakfast service and keep the area clean and stocked, as needed.
• Provide wake-up calls and assist guests with special requests.
• Communicate important guest and property information to the team through the pass-on log.
• Support hotel sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager.
• Assist with laundry and other hotel operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
