Job summary

Tharaldson Hospitality is seeking a motivated sales/marketing assistant for Decatur Forsyth Residence Inn in Forsyth, IL. Assist the Sales Manager to book and pursue business, identify new leads, and help develop marketing plans and budgets.

You will coordinate meetings, space setup, catering, and AV needs, while maintaining guest relations. Ideal candidates have 1+ year front desk or sales exposure, strong prospecting skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 months training or related experience preferred.
• Strong prospecting and networking skills.
• Ability to work with word processing and spreadsheet tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow Sales Manager directions in booking and pursuing business.
• Find new leads through tele-prospecting and internet research.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the marketing plan and sales budget.
• Coordinate with guests and clients for meeting space, catering, and AV needs.
