Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a diligent Front Desk Clerk to provide guests with a friendly and efficient check-in and check-out experience at our King of Prussia property. You will assist guests with information on hotel amenities and events, and help sell rooms using strong customer service and yield management skills.

You will handle registration, issue room keys, process payments, balance transactions, and communicate with Executive Hosts to ensure seamless guest stays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 6+ months front desk experience.
• Typing speed of at least 45 WPM is required; 10-key experience is a plus.
• Excellent English communication with guests and staff.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts.
• Knowledge of hotel key systems and basic office equipment.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain gaming-related certifications as required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with a friendly and efficient check-in and check-out experience.
• Provide guests with general information regarding hotel, amenities, and events.
• Sell rooms utilizing excellent customer service skills and yield management.
• Resolve customer complaints and answer guest inquiries regarding hotel services, events, directions, local attractions, etc.
• Complete all registration forms and computer input.
• Retrieve and distribute room keys.
• Calculate and print hotel bills, and accept payment for various room charges utilizing standard cash and credit procedures.
• Communicate with Executive Hosts regarding hotel stays.
• Utilize computer to run necessary reports.
• Balance all transactions at the end of shift (audit out).
• Operate manual procedures in the event of computer failure.
• Other duties as assigned by management
