Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Guest Services Agent to join our front desk team at our Charlotte property. You will be the first point of contact, greet guests, register rooms, answer calls, handle transactions, and assist guests with information and services to ensure a seamless stay.

The role requires strong communication, basic math, and proficiency with MS Office; experience in hospitality and knowledge of Opera systems are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and location.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and credit card transactions and related reports.
• Maintain security of cash, guest information, and transactions.
• Upsell rooms and assist with reservations as needed.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies for pricing and availability.
• Coordinate with shifts and management to ensure seamless service.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service policies.
