Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Guest Services Agent to ensure exceptional front desk service and guest relations. You will register guests, handle inquiries, process transactions, and help maximize revenue through thoughtful upselling and accurate reservations.

This role supports the Operations Manager, with focus on brand standards, safety, and guest satisfaction across shifts, including mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience, or retail customer service preferred.
• Background from extended stay industry preferred.
• Fluent English; additional languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Math skills including budgeting, P&L concepts, percentages.
• Problem solving, organizational and training abilities preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification required.
• TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information about services.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and credit transactions and prepare reports.
• Maintain security of cash, transactions, and guest data.
• May book reservations and upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies for room type and length of stay.
• Promote teamwork with other shifts and departments.
• Serve the shoppe and pour by delivering service and products.
• Fulfill guest special requests and ensure delivery of services.
• Issue and manage guest safes.
• Comply with laws regarding health, safety, and alcohol services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
