Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Guest Services Agent in Burlington, MA. You’ll be the first point of contact for guests, handling check-ins, information, and front desk duties to deliver Sonesta Service standards.

Responsibilities include registering guests, processing transactions, assisting with reservations, and upselling when possible. High School diploma and hotel/retail experience preferred; English fluency required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience, or retail customer service preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location.
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Process cash and credit card transactions per procedures; post charges and prepare deposits.
• Maintain security of cash, transactions, and guest information.
• May book guest reservations; up-sell rooms when possible to maximize revenue.
• Promote teamwork and quality service across shifts and departments.
• Serve the shoppe and the pour, following local alcohol laws.
• Ensure guest special requests are fulfilled and services delivered.
