Sonesta Hotels International Corporation in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Guest Services Agent to be the friendly first contact for guests, register arrivals, and answer inquiries.

You will handle cash and credit transactions, post charges, and support the front desk systems while promoting upsells and delivering service with a smile.

This role requires English fluency, prior hotel or retail experience, and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience, or retail customer service preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• May be required to obtain ServSafe and TIPS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and location.
• Process cash and credit card transactions, posts charges, and prepare deposits.
• Maintain security of cash, credit card transactions, and guest information.
• Routinely book guest reservations and upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies for room type and length of stay pricing.
• Promote teamwork and quality service with other shifts and management.
• Serve the shoppe and pour, following local alcohol laws.
• Fulfill guest special requests and deliver guest services.
