Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to organize workspace and activities using initiative.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to learn how to input information into an electronic health record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be comfortable working with clients and families experiencing mental health crisis.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the adult, child/youth, crisis, intake, respite units and contractors.
• Must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and provide quality customer service to direct persons and appropriate staff members.
• Gather necessary documentation, provide insurance verification for scheduled clinic appointments, determine and notate expected individual responsibility for scheduled visit based on insurance and financial ability to pay.
• Assist with obtaining authorization from insurance companies for required services and respond to concerns about balances.
• Follow up on past due balances and develop a payment agreement according to center policy.
• Identify and schedule individuals with Benefits Specialists.
• Work with a team of business support staff to ensure an effective and efficient work environment.
