Silver Birch Living is seeking a friendly Receptionist to be the first welcoming face for residents, families, and visitors at our Fort Wayne community. You’ll greet guests, assist with sign-in, answer calls, and support the front desk with essential office tasks.

The role emphasizes warm, clear communication, patience, and teamwork in a busy, caring environment. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required, and the organization highlights appreciative and supportive culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is helpful.
• Front desk or customer service experience is a plus.
• Friendly, clear communication skills.
• Kind, patient, and helpful with residents and visitors.
• Strong organization and the ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to work some weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome residents, families, and visitors as they arrive.
• Help visitors sign in and provide basic directions or assistance.
• Answer phone calls, transfer calls, or take messages as needed.
• Answer questions or help connect people with the right team member.
• Keep the front desk organized and stocked with forms and supplies.
• Receive and sort mail, packages, and deliveries.
• Prepare outgoing mail when needed.
• Track visitors entering and leaving the community.
• Assist with basic office tasks such as filing and organizing paperwork.
• Prepare guest meal vouchers when needed.
