MercyOne Medical Group in Iowa is seeking a Clinic Receptionist to greet patients and visitors, manage the front desk, and support patient flow across Urgent Care and Family Medicine. You will handle phone calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect copays, and enter demographics into the electronic health record, while maintaining confidentiality and a compassionate, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; strong communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Responsabilités

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a professional demeanor.
• Perform patient check-in and ensure admitting efficiency and policy compliance.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collect copays and deductibles.
• Copy/scan patient access materials into the EHR.
