Job summary

As a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist at H&R Block, you will be the welcoming first impression for every client. You’ll manage client scheduling, support daily office operations, and work alongside a team of tax professionals. With training and support, this role can be a stepping stone into tax preparation or office leadership.

This role is in-person and not remote. Greet clients, answer calls, manage check-in, and maintain a professional office environment while handling

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with team and serve clients professionally.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities throughout the day.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfort using basic computer programs and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams and scheduling systems).
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs.
• Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents.
• Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience.
• Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care.
