Job summary

Best Western Tolleson Hotel is seeking a friendly Front Desk Associate to be guests' first contact, handle check-ins/check-outs, and guide visitors about rooms, rates, and local attractions. The role emphasizes reliability, weekend and holiday availability, and flexibility.

Training shifts are 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm before settling into regular hours, with a strong focus on customer service, reservations management, and coordination with housekeeping to ensure a memorable stay for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in front desk roles in hotels or similar hospitality environment.
• Proficiency with hotel reservation systems or related software.
• Understanding of how travel sites (Expedia, TripAdvisor) operate.
• Strong customer service mindset and service orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; well organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
• Provide excellent customer service while assisting guest needs
• Manage online and phone reservations
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
• Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
• Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
• Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
• Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests needs
• Confirm group reservations
• Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
• Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
