Qualifications

Position Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Check patients in and out for appointments.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions and concerns.
• Collect copayments, deductibles, and other patient balances.
• Obtain and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Obtain required forms, signatures, and documentation from patients.
• Communicate effectively with providers, Medical Assistants, and other office staff.
• Assist with referrals, records requests, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Keep the front desk and waiting area organized and welcoming.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
• Follow Coastal Health policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
