Job summary

Coastal Health in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, works well in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating with a team to deliver excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with exams, administering medications, performing EKGs, collecting specimens, documenting in the EMR, and supporting calls and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Perform EKGs and other clinical duties as needed.
• Collect and prepare specimens.
• Complete accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with patient calls, messages, and follow-up.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and stock supplies.
