Job summary

Coastal Health Spine & Pain is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced clinical team in Jacksonville, FL. You will room patients, take vital signs and histories, prepare for exams, and assist providers with procedures while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.

We value compassionate patient care, strong teamwork, and reliability. The ideal candidate has MA experience, CPR/BLS certification, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Perform EKGs and other basic clinical duties as needed.
• Collect and prepare specimens.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Assist with patient calls, messages, and follow-up.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms.
• Follow HIPAA, safety, and infection-control guidelines.
• Provide friendly and professional patient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
