Job summary

The Aiden by Best Western hotel in Berkeley is seeking a positive, friendly Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional service to our hotel guests. The Front Desk Agent will assist guests with check-in and check-out, issue room keys, and process payments.

Responsibilities also include coordinating with housekeeping to manage room availability, answering inquiries, and completing paperwork promptly. We require open availability and the ability to cover shifts including occasional overnight shifts.

Qualifications

Friendly and polite personality.
Proficient in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Computer literacy.
Able to resolve issues with a customer-focused orientation.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Able to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Monitor knowledge of hotel operations and activities.
Take reservations and answer questions via phone, email, and in-person.
Build rapport with guests and identify their needs through friendly conversation and open-ended questions.
Describe the features and amenities of guest rooms.
Ensure compliance with health and quality standards.
Assist with laundry duties during downtime periods.
