Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Front Desk Agent to provide guests with a friendly, efficient check-in and check-out experience in a casino/hotel environment. You will assist with information about amenities, events, and local attractions, and manage room reservations and billing processes.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), 6 months front desk experience, and the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 months front desk experience.
• Typing speed 45 WPM; 10-key experience a plus.
• Able to communicate with guests and staff in English.
• Experience with hotel key systems and cash handling.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and stand for long periods.
• Detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Ability to add, subtract, and audit accounts; operate electronic draft system.
• Familiarity with LMS, CMS, and Hot Sauce/Espresso systems.
• Must obtain/maintain certifications/licenses as required by gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with a friendly and efficient check-in and check-out.
• Provide guests with general information regarding hotel amenities and events.
• Sell rooms utilizing excellent customer service and yield management.
• Resolve customer complaints and answer guest inquiries regarding hotel services and local attractions.
• Complete all registration forms and computer input.
• Retrieve and distribute room keys.
• Calculate and print hotel bills, and accept payment for charges.
• Communicate with Executive Hosts regarding hotel stays.
• Use computer to run necessary reports.
• Balance all transactions at the end of shift.
• Operate manual procedures in the event of computer failure.
• Other duties as assigned by management
