Job summary

Residence Inn Birmingham Downtown at UAB, part of HEI Hotels and Resorts, is seeking a friendly front desk agent to welcome guests, check them in and out, and provide information on local attractions. You will input guest data, manage reservations, and promote HEI Hotels and Resorts programs to enhance the guest experience.

The ideal candidate has hotel experience, strong communication skills, and solid calculator and computer abilities to handle daily transactions.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to greet guests with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Strong math skills for billing and transactions.
• Proficiency in inputting guest information and managing reservations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to operate computer systems and input data accurately.
• Able to adapt communication style for diverse guests.
• Ability to remain calm during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, sincere welcome.
• Assist guests with arrival and departure procedures.
• Input and retrieve guest information in the computer system.
• Confirm guests, room rates, and number of guests.
• Promote HEI Hotels and Resorts programs to guests.
• Make room recommendations based on guest needs.
• Code electronic keys and manage access as required.
• Handle cash, process payments, and balance a house bank.
• Resolve guest issues with empathy and effective solutions.
• Ensure guest satisfaction at check-out and throughout stay.
