Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Traverse City, Michigan is looking for a Front Desk & Treat Shop Associate who loves helping guests and solving problems. You’ll be the first point of contact, ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for while supporting hotel operations.

In a fast-paced, team-oriented environment you’ll greet guests, manage check-in/out, promote the loyalty program, keep the market area tidy, and coordinate with maintenance and other departments.

Qualifications

• Guest-focused, friendly, and professional.
• Reliable with flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient with basic computer use (MS Edge, Word, Excel, email, printers/scanners).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift light items.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and build personal connections.
• Manage check-in/out, reconcile accounts, and handle cash or card transactions.
• Promote brand loyalty program and follow hospitality sales standards.
• Staff and maintain the market area; keep shelves organized and tidy.
• Record guest requests, special needs, early arrivals/late departures, and communicate issues.
• Conduct property walk-arounds; report safety/security issues; pick up trash.
• Assist with maintenance requests and coordinate with on-property maintenance.
• Complete all required training, including CPR and TIPS certification.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk, dry storage, and adjacent areas.
• Support smooth communication between all hotel departments.
