Job description

Job Summary

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for efficiently and courteously checking guests in and out of the hotel using the property management system. This role involves processing all payments according to established hotel policies and providing information and customer service to guests and visitors.

Responsibilities

  1. Greet guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner.
  2. Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room locations, and answer phones courteously.
  3. Upsell rooms whenever possible to maximize hotel revenue.
  4. Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions, including posting charges, completing cashier reports, preparing deposits, and securing the cash bank.
  5. Manage guest safe-deposit boxes securely.
  6. Communicate guest requests or issues to management for follow-up.
  7. Respond appropriately to guest complaints and make service recovery gestures to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  1. 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  2. Ability to stand for 8 hours.
  3. Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and hotel management systems.
