Join to apply for the FRONT DESK AGENT role at BC LYND Hospitality

Sign On Bonus up to $1,000 in a 6-month continuous Full-Time status.

Shift consists of 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (may vary depending on hotel demands). Must be flexible with days and able to work weekends and holidays.

The Full-Time Front Desk Agent at the TownePlace Suites in Overland Park, Kansas is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Computer experience required.
  • College coursework in a related field helpful.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Light work involving exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
Work Environment
  • Indoor and outdoor hotel facilities.

Duties & Functions
  • Greet and welcome guests and staff at the front desk.
  • Operate the PBX console and ensure hotel standards are met.
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services and local information.
  • Manage package, mail, and message deliveries.
  • Review daily logs and trace files.
  • Assist with reservations, check-ins, and check-outs.
  • Follow cash handling and credit policies.
  • Be familiar with hotel promotions, rates, and group bookings.
  • Understand emergency procedures and assist as needed.
  • Operate all relevant front desk systems efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
