Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Location: Shawnee Lodge & Cottages, West Portsmouth, Ohio

Salary: Hourly (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary:

As a Front Desk Agent at Shawnee Lodge & Cottages, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests as they check in and out of our hotel. You will be the first point of contact for our guests and will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming stay for each and every guest.

Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel
- Check guests in and out of the hotel using our reservation system
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local points of interest
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for new arrivals
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or person
- Keep the front desk area clean and organized at all times
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Front Desk Manager or General Manager

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reservation systems
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
