At the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge, we’re fortunate to live and work in one of the most picturesque areas of Central Oregon. Our property accommodates both business and leisure travelers, and we are a destination hotel that has served many of the same customers for years. We also have staff members who have been with us for over a decade because we treat our employees with respect, dignity, and transparency. We are committed to building and maintaining a staff whose talents can be showcased and whose knowledge of Sisters, OR, and the surrounding areas can be shared with our guests.

Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is searching for a Part-Time Front Desk Agent to join our team. Working closely with the General Manager, our Front Desk Agent is the face of our hotel, ensuring every guest has a superior experience throughout their stay. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the lobby, breakfast area, restrooms, and exterior spaces. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about hospitality and takes pride in their work. Must be available weekends and Holidays, 7am-3pm; Friday-Sunday.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Welcomes and greets guests with a warm friendly smile.
  2. Responds promptly to customer needs.
  3. Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  4. Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same-day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures.
  5. Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
  6. Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms.
  7. Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms.
  8. Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
  9. Knows daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.
  10. Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager.
  11. Manages and resolves guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  12. Processes guest check-outs and handles monetary transactions.
  13. Maintains customers’ privacy.
  14. Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
  15. Keeps high-traffic areas clean and organized.
  16. Punctuality, dependability, and regular attendance.
  17. Treat all coworkers with respect.
  18. Adheres to all hotel policies and procedures as outlined by hotel standards and Federal, State, and Local laws, including OSHA regulations.
  19. Must use appropriate protective equipment as needed for the job task.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned.
