Job summary

Associated Scaffolding in Raleigh, NC seeks an organized Inside Sales/Support Assistant to back the Branch Manager in inside operations, dispatch and retail sales. You will greet customers, process orders, prepare paperwork, and help with invoicing and inventory control.

You will monitor inventory, coordinate equipment returns, dispatch vehicles, and assist with training to build product knowledge. A high school diploma and strong customer service are required, with proficiency in Word, Excel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills; experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in basic math and accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous telephone and visitor reception as required.
• Assist inside sales: take orders, document paperwork, invoice customers, file paperwork.

• Assist with all inventory functions within policy and procedures.
• Inform Branch Manager of anticipated additional equipment needs.
• Dispatch vehicles for timely pickups and deliveries; monitor GPS alerts.
• Continually train to improve inside sales knowledge and product knowledge.
• Undertake other duties or tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.
• Maintain a stocked and clean showroom/office.
• Reconcile and file paperwork daily.

Job Purpose

Provide support to the Branch Manager in the area of inside operations, dispatch and retail sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Routinely provide courteous telephone and visitor reception as required.


2. Assist with the inside sales function to include taking orders from customers, documenting these orders with the necessary paperwork, invoicing the customers, filing all the paperwork, and advising the Warehouse Supervisor of such orders.


3. Investigate equipment returns for missing equipment and invoice the customer.


4. Assist with all inventory functions within established policy and procedures.


5. Advise the Branch Manager of anticipated additional equipment requirements on a continuous basis.


6. Dispatch vehicles for timely pick-ups and deliveries

7. Continuously undertake training through the assistance of the Branch Manager to become proficient in inside sales and product knowledge to better assist customers.


8. Undertake other duties or special tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Other Duties

• Maintain petty cash, credit card logs and daily deposits


• Reconcile & file paperwork daily

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Strong Customer Service skills. Prior experience in customer service a plus


• Competence with basic math and accounting skills


• Proficiency in use of computer programs including: Word, Excel, Outlook.
