Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience as a Medical Assistant and/or a Medical Assistant Diploma and/or a Medical Assistant Certification.
• Experience with EMR/EHR preferred.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association.
• Ability to travel to other clinic sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with day-to-day operations of front and back office.
• Assists with medical assistant tasks and duties to be completed timely and efficiently.
• Coordinates referrals and patient communication.
• Administers injections and assists with non-invasive care procedures.
• Obtains patient medical history, vital signs, and documents quality metrics.
• Maintains inventory of medical supplies and ensures equipment is calibrated and stocked.
• Registers patients, updates demographics, and verifies insurance plans.
• Performs end-of-day reconciliation and secures deposits.
• Prepares for next day clinic by chart prep and pre-registering patients.
• Provides exceptional customer service and assists other departments as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
