Job summary

Kroger in Dallas, TX is seeking a friendly cashier/checker to deliver outstanding customer service at the front end. You will greet customers, process transactions, and support store operations while following all cash-handling policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, handling multiple tender types, and staying informed about current ads and promotions to assist shoppers effectively.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is helpful.
• Ability to greet, engage and assist customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, EBT, WIC and coupons per policy.
• Adhere to cash control procedures and avoid shortages/overages.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons; stay updated on offers.
