Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers actively.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit/Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs; maintain a safe environment.
• Answer questions about products and assist across departments.
