The Kroger Family of Companies in Crowley, TX is seeking a dedicated Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer service at the checkout. You will greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, handling multiple tender types, following policies, staying updated on ads, and contributing to a welcoming shopping experience for every customer.

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, and loyalty offers according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and work to prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued.
