Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is looking for a dedicated Cashier/Checker at our Frisco, TX location to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will greet customers, assist with questions and guide them through the checkout process.

You will process transactions accurately using the POS system, handle diverse tender types, adhere to loss-prevention rules, follow food-safety guidelines, and maintain a clean, welcoming store environment that encourages customers to return.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, and other tenders per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention procedures.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items and promotions.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment and assist customers as needed.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
