Job summary

Michigan State University (FRIB) seeks a Project Controls Engineer I to assist in managing schedules and costs for FRIB projects. You will monitor baselines, generate timely analyses, and support earned value management within the university’s policies and PMBOK framework.

Responsibilities include developing schedules with Primavera P6 or MS Project, cost reporting, variance analysis, and coordinating with project teams and managers to ensure accurate status updates and successful project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific discipline.
• 3+ years of experience with project scheduling tools and reporting.
• Experience with earned value management and schedule/cost control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Develop and maintain cost control processes and EV reporting.
• Analyze schedule and cost performance and provide management reports.
• Identify contingency plans and perform critical path analysis.
• Support cost engineering, planning, and scheduling activities.
• Attend project controls meetings and provide status updates.
• Team collaboration and documentation in line with policies.
