Job summary

Primoris Energy Services in Independence, Missouri is seeking a Lead Project Controls Analyst to develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems. You will manage schedules (CPM) with Primavera P6, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and perform EVM analyses to drive on-time, in-budget project delivery.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive project controls experience with at least 3 in a lead/supervisory role.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
• Strong cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• PMP, AACE, or similar certifications are a plus.
• ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of project schedules using CPM and Primavera P6.
• Develop and implement comprehensive cost control systems including budgeting and variance analysis.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports on cost, schedule, and risk to stakeholders.
• Analyze project data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate input from project managers, engineers, and teams for controls activities.
• Develop and maintain WBS and CBS for various projects and perform EVM analysis.
• Support change management by evaluating impacts on scope, schedule, and cost.
• Mentor junior project controls personnel and ensure policy compliance.
