Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills and multitasking.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with retail scales.
• Ability to safely use knives and other necessary equipment to operate the seafood department.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards.
• Learn and share product details, including sourcing, preparation methods, and ingredients.
• Cut, clean, weigh, and package seafood according to customer specifications.
• Stock, rotate, and label products to ensure freshness and accurate presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in cases, counters, and prep stations.
• Monitor quality by checking dates, packaging, and overall product appearance.
• Maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Engage customers with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
