Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in Watchung, NJ is seeking a meat department team member to weigh, wrap, and merchandise fresh and prepared meats. You will assist members, answer questions, and ensure cases are stocked and rotated according to freshness standards.

You’ll work with the meat team to maintain cleanliness and safety, follow club policies, and help deliver a fast, friendly, and accurate shopping experience for every member in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Makes recommendations on food products when necessary.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Assists the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
