Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in North Bergen, NJ is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to receive, rotate, wrap and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You will assist Members with questions and help keep cases stocked and clean, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Additional duties include weighing and labeling cuts, supporting the meat cutter, and ensuring timely, friendly service. We offer weekly pay, benefits and growth opportunities as part of our world-class team.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of wrapping machines preferred.
• Experience in meat/deli department preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions about meats, poultry and seafood.
• Weigh, wrap, label, and package meat and seafood cuts.
• Help the meat cutter with packaging freshly cut items and may grind hamburger.
• Inspect and store meat on delivery to meet quality standards.
• Keep meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases stocked and rotated by expiration.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and display fixtures in the meat department.
• Adhere to club policies and perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
