Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in North Bergen, NJ is hiring a Meat Department team member. You’ll weigh, wrap, label cuts, and help Members with questions while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

You’ll rotate stock, ensure cases are stocked, and assist in seafood, rotisserie and prepared foods as needed. Must be 18+, previous meat-handling experience preferred; training provided. Weekly pay and benefits highlight BJ’s culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry and seafood and make product recommendations.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label meat, poultry and seafood; assist the meat cutter as needed.
• Inspect and store meat upon delivery; ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain fully stocked cases; rotate products by expiration dates.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, displays and areas in the meat department.
