Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to help supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department. You will assist the Department Manager with direction, coordination, and evaluation, and help ensure safety, quality, and excellent service in-store.

Responsibilities include performing bakery and deli duties, interviewing and training staff, planning and directing work, and assisting in performance appraisals and discipline.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Commitment to unparalleled customer service; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in and complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of baker/fryer, cake decorator, fresh foods clerks, and chef.
• Interviewing and training associates.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates.
