Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to support the Department Manager in directing the Fresh Foods Department. You will supervise up to 80 associates, delegate tasks, monitor performance, and help ensure high standards of customer service and product quality.

Responsibilities include interviewing and training staff, planning and directing work, and handling daily operations such as bakery, deli, and clerk duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to read simple instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Assist Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.
• Interviewing and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Carry out additional duties as bakery, fryer, cake decorator, or clerical staff as needed.
